Your opportunity:
The Mitochondrial Innovation Initiative (MITO2i) is a collaborative hub that engages all stakeholders in advancing science in the field of mitochondrial medicine and research. Our goal is to transform the understanding of mitochondrial health and disease, leading to better diagnoses and treatments that enhance quality of human life; ultimately transforming healthcare by integrating mitochondrial health into routine care.
As the Knowledge Transfer & Communications Assistant, you will support the MitoRevolution Project team with disseminating communications and effectively transferring research knowledge to both the academic and external communities, supporting management to meet the changing demands and expectations attached to their research activities. Utilizing your strong written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills, you will play an important role in supporting a transformative team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
- Analyzing and recommending options for the development of visual expression/layout of digital assets
- Designing graphic elements for digital and online media
- Maintaining information on a website
- Disseminating information on social media
- Determining logistical details and activities for instructor development and training sessions
- Generating reports, collating, and organizing data
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience, including communications and social media.
- Demonstrated project coordination experience.
- Experience analyzing and recommending options for the development of visual and digital assets
- Demonstrated experience working with graphical content for website, social media, newsletters, presentations, reports, and grant applications.
- Strong experience determining logistical details for events.
- Ability to collate and organize data for the purpose of reporting.
- Superb written and oral communications skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent research, writing, editing and digital media skills are essential.
- A self-starter possessing the ability to work independently in a high-profile, time-sensitive environment while balancing competing priorities.
- Must be creative, resourceful and solutions-oriented.
