Key Responsibilities
- Investor Relations and Capital Raising
Lead Investor Engagement: Act as the primary contact for institutional and high-net-worth investors, delivering updates on project performance and market trends to build trust.
Drive Fundraising: Create pitch decks and investor reports to secure debt and equity financing for transformative developments.
Foster Relationships: Cultivate partnerships with investors and joint-venture partners, aligning with JD’s sustainable vision.
Support Due Diligence: Coordinate investor inquiries and due diligence to ensure efficient capital-raising.
- Real Estate Finance & Underwriting
Underwrite Financing: Analyze CMHC and conventional debt and equity investments, assessing budgets and market data.
Monitor Risks: Track portfolio risks and performance to safeguard investor returns.
Align Reporting: Collaborate with asset management to integrate performance metrics into investor reports.
- Market Analysis & Performance Tracking
Research Trends: Analyze real estate sectors and macroeconomic factors to inform strategies.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Structure Transactions: Partner with finance and legal teams to ensure compliant deal structures.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 5+ years in real estate finance, investor relations, private equity, or investment banking; underwriting exposure is advantageous.
Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., DCF models) and PowerPoint; familiarity with loan documents or regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSC, REIT compliance) is a plus.
