Title: Senior Instructional Designer (Remote or Hybrid)
Red Nucleus is hiring a Senior Instructional Designer to join our L&D team! This role can be hybrid out of our Yardley, PA office, or full-time remote within the US or Canada. Candidates must be able to work EST hours.
Help Us Advance Knowledge to Improve Lives
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you’ll be part of a dynamic, global team that's shaping how professionals in pharmaceutical and biotech companies learn, grow, and make a difference in patients' lives.
Whether you're collaborating with medical experts, crafting skill-building workshops, or driving innovative solutions for clients, your work will matter.
Our Clients
We work with life sciences companies of all sizes, from those bringing their first product to market, to the largest multinational firms, including all 10 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies by revenue. This role will primarily service clients in the oncology space.
How You Will Contribute
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you’ll lead the design and writing of interactive, engaging, and creative learning solutions for life sciences industry professionals, such as workshops, eLearning, podcasts, video scripts, simulations, and more.
You’ll translate client goals, objectives, and strategy to create effective learning experiences for the target learners. Every day is different and can range from performing curricula analyses and developing measurement strategies to designing specific deliverables that leverage blended approaches.
While this position does not require original research of medical content, you may use content written by a Medical Writer or client to create a new learning asset.
Specifically, a Red Nucleus Instructional Designer’s responsibilities fall within 5 core areas. The majority of time is spent on Learning Solutions Design.
Learning Solutions Design: Consult with clients and subject matter experts inside and outside of RN to shape the design of learning solutions. Interpret complex (and sometimes scientific) information, including client strategy and sales/marketing messaging, and using that to design accessible, objectives-based, and engaging learning experiences for the target audience.
Learning Innovation: Help us push the boundaries of L&D by leading the proposal and development of learning innovations, where appropriate for our clients (such as new styles/approaches or new uses of existing products).
Client Interaction: Participate in kick-offs, status calls, and any applicable review meetings with client teams that may consist of members from the Sales, Marketing, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory departments.
Sales Support: Participate in the development of sales proposals and presentations and the delivery of sales pitches.
Collaboration with Instructional Designers and Medical Writers: Consult with in-house medical writers on how to most effectively present information, create an effective learning experience, apply adult learning principles, etc. Maintain open lines of communication with other internal IDs.
