A Day in the Life The Training & Education (T&E) Sr Manager is the OU/therapy/Business leader for training subjects. Partners with OU marketing, Medical Science and global OU to standardize, localize and adapt product and therapy training for internal and external audiences. • As a people leader, coordinates and leads a training and education team to deploy educational strategies to grow therapy adoption and penetration at the field level. Develop and manages the team enabling the work across the matrix. • Responsible for internal and HCP programs; Implementing training and ensuring daily tasks are accomplished by team members, interacting with both the field team and HCP to communicate information vital to the training process, and implementing and following up on projects related to training and education. This person oversees the product Training program for Medtronic employees, distributors, and HCPS, coordinates, and implements training and education projects related to the team and to HCPs itself, interacts with various departments on a regular basis, troubleshoot issues as necessary, and implements ways of improving and making processes more efficient. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives. • Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Plans, develops and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives Maintains communication with customers to ensure the effectiveness of training. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Facilitates customized training and education programs for Medical and Academic Professionals on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to increase procedural, technology, and product adoption to improve patient outcomes Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content, and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness. Conducts/ Facilitates physician-led education and consulting, support establishment and maintenance of customer relations with clinicians and organizations. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Access and determine educational gaps for therapy/procedure adoption among HCPs to design educational pathway Access and determine educational gaps in the employee journey to address certification pathways for sales and clinical team Provide professional communication with the field employees and HCPS. This includes phone calls, emails, involvement on district calls when requested, presenting in CORE Training, and speaking on internal calls when topics are appropriate. Be involved in the interview process when choosing speakers Implement HCP certification updates when new products are launched. Organizing agenda, pre-training, and materials, and implementing programs for HCP at launch and pre-launch phases Ensure feedback and training across the HCP continuum Assist in creating and executing strategies and programs to help build HCP, employee retention, and loyalty. Work cross-functionally with various internal departments to develop strategy and ensure field employees/HCP needs are met and business objectives are achieved. Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
