Plains Midstream Canada is currently seeking an ambitious, hard-working individual to join the Taxation team for a 6-month contract. A position is available in our Indirect Tax Department for someone who is looking to pursue a rewarding opportunity in the oil & gas industry. While working closely with the Indirect Tax Team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Indirect Tax, this position will be responsible for assisting with Oracle Fusion and One Source system implementation. Also addressing indirect tax issues in Canada and the US including filing various indirect tax & regulatory returns. This is a temporary 6-month position based out of our Calgary, Alberta office. The successful candidate will be eligible for health benefits from day one of employment. Responsibilities: Prepare US and Canadian indirect tax returns in accordance with tax law and appropriate deadlines; Problem Solve Fusion -One Source tax issues. Mine various computer programs to execute their tasks (Oracle Fusion, Right Angle, Once Source); Improve processes and procedures in a fast paced, dynamic work environment; Reconcile general ledger tax accounts; Assist indirect tax team with projects; Research document and communicate various indirect tax issues; Guide operations with specific tax and research issues; and Support tax audits. Qualifications: Completion of a University Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience Self-motivated, results orientated and want to learn; Focus on delivery deadlines and documentation; Positive attitude & driven to work as part of the team and individually; Right Angle, Oracle Fusion or One Source experience is required.
