We are looking for a permanent full-time Team Lead to join our team!
The Outreach Team Lead team lead role includes both front line and leadership duties. This position will provide leadership support to front line staff of the Outreach team and support the Program Manager in providing clinical and operational support during their shift.
Status: Permanent full-time, 12 hour rotational shifts including days, overnights, weekends and public holidays will be required. Note, this is for an active vacancy.
Salary: Current Outreach Worker salary with an additional $5000 per year.
Location: This position is based out of our 60 West Drive office. Due to the nature of this program, this role is on-site and/or community based.
What You Will Do:
Assisting with the day-to-day clinical operations on the team during their 12-hour rotational shift.
Participate in van shifts and Street Helpline as part of the scheduled rotation.
Lead daily team huddles.
Working with marginalized populations, including those experiencing homelessness, mental health concerns and addictions.
Support staff in prioritizing client issues and tasks, as needed.
Support the Manager in team meetings including planning, chairing, and following up with actions as appropriate.
Support the Manager in case conferences, including planning, chairing, and following up with actions as necessary.
Ensure adequate staffing coverage during shifts.
Escalate staff and clinical issues to the Manager, as appropriate.
Aid leadership in program development.
Ensure service data is being collected and recorded regularly; daily reports done in a timely manner.
Participate in agency quality improvement activities, e.g. accreditation projects, Information Systems Support and Privacy and Security committees, special events, etc.

What You Need to Join Our Team:
College/University Degree in Social Services, Social Work, BSc. Nursing etc.
Minimum one year of supervision or leadership experience in a clinical or community setting.
Knowledge and principles of supporting homelessness and those at risk of homelessness.
Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary team and evidence of an understanding of the importance of partnerships and collaboration.
Requires working knowledge and/or an understanding of various disciplines; including but not exclusive of mental health, substance abuse, harm reduction, new comer challenges and sensitivity to the settlement issues of new comers as well as the issues relating to homelessness and marginalized populations.
Proven cultural competence and ability to effectively work with diversity.
Ability to work 12 hours shifts; days, overnights and weekends on a scheduled rotation.
Proficient computer skills including knowledge of CRMS or similar client record databases.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework.
Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
Valid Canadian driver’s license and access to an insured automobile in good repair.
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report.
