The Regional Learning Quality Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for the provision of educational, project management, academic advising, and facilitation services. Other responsibilities include design, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of training programs, policies, and practices. Facilitate a positive learning environment. Coach instructors on effective adult training practices, teaching and coaching techniques. Facilitate teams of operational subject-matter experts in the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training, using NAV CANADA’s Systems Approach to Training. Evaluate training activities including in accordance with NAV CANADA training governance and best practices. Research new and effective adult training practices to enhance operational training initiatives for NAV CANADA. Job Requirements Education Successful completion of a University Degree in Education or in a related field of study. High performance coaching experience is an asset. Experience Extensive coaching and training delivery experience. Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups. Demonstrated experience in managing projects. Demonstrated experience in the development of technical training courses using the Systems Approach to Training, ADDIE, or comparable training development model. Demonstrated experience in supporting a variety of training development and delivery teams. Knowledge Knowledge of coaching and mentoring practices. In-depth knowledge of the Systems Approach to Training, ADDIE, or comparable training development model. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Online. Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools and processes. Knowledge of adult learning and training principles and best practices. Knowledge of training evaluation processes to measure learning, and to validate training design. Abilities Ability to provide educational consultation services to staff involved in training including the identification of learning challenges, implementation of learning solutions, learning or training preferences and approaches. Strong ability to plan, organize and independently manage training projects from task analysis to implementation. Strong ability to lead project teams in needs identification, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and validation. Ability to coach a multi-functional team. Ability to analyse problems, determine root cause, and recommend solutions. Strong ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing. Ability to analyse problems, determine root cause and implement training solutions when required. Personal Suitability Works well independently, and in teams, by displaying flexibility, active listening, and openness when dealing with others. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills through effective communication. Takes independent action and initiative to create opportunities or resolve/prevent problems. Working Condition This position is based in Montreal and is a hybrid position with a minimum – 4 days per week on site. Occasional travel required.
