Our client, a major Canadian financial institution with a national presence and global reputation, is looking for a Business Analyst who is responsible for leading the requirements lifecycle for business initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering customer-centric, strategic solutions. This role will work cross-functionally with business and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and risk appetite.

What You'll Do
Requirements Management
Lead, analyze, document, and manage business requirements using best-practice elicitation techniques.
Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Validate current and future state processes and ensure alignment with business goals.
Translate business needs into detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for technology and business process solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, technology, change management) to define and validate requirements.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discussions to gain stakeholder consensus and understanding.
Serve as a conduit between business stakeholders and technology teams.
Solution Assessment
Apply critical and strategic thinking to evaluate and recommend solution options.
Ensure acceptance criteria are met and business objectives are realized.
Support test planning, execution, and issue resolution.
Project & Change Delivery
Contribute to implementation planning and change readiness activities.
Support post-implementation reviews and benefit realization.
Participate in RFI/RFP processes where applicable.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
Identify, document, and escalate risks, issues, and constraints.
Ensure compliance with enterprise delivery frameworks, controls, and standards.
Leadership & Growth
Mentor and guide junior BAs and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Provide subject matter expertise on business analysis practices.
Lead requirements management for medium to high-risk initiatives.
Champion continuous improvement and promote best practices in the BA community.
Requirements
What You Bring
Experience
7+ years of relevant business analysis experience.
Exposure to or experience in Agile, Lean, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
Prior experience in financial services, government, or enterprise-level organizations is an asset.
