Currently, we have a Business Process Specialist term opportunity available. The Business Process Specialist provides advice, guidance and assistance to ensure the department achieves its business goals and objectives, and reports on monitoring process performance measures and assessments. The Business Process Specialist also participates in the development and recommendation of a business process framework, and in the implementation of effective and sustaining performance measures, business processes, procedures and improvement initiatives. This is a term position which may be for a period of up to 60 months, offers a competitive compensation package and is located on-site in Tiverton, Ontario. More than 1 position may be available. Specific Responsibilities: Provide advice, guidance, and assistance to achieve business goals and objectives Develop and recommend a business process framework and implement performance measures Facilitate support internally and act as the Single Point of Contact with the Learning Center Coordinate activities with external service providers, participate in reviews and audits and resolve issues Identify changes for effective utilization of the Passport/SAP system and perform system troubleshooting Perform initial identification of system errors, communicate system issues/critical errors, perform integration and acceptance testing and fixes to the system Perform release testing Consult users and line management on the Passport/SAP system and align business processes Design and facilitate communications and integration forums Develop communication packages and plans Manage the department website and support content and structure requirements Assist staff in implementing new business processes and change management interventions Create visual data models of business processes for on-going analysis and communication Provide facilitation services as required Perform other duties as required Education and Experience: This knowledge is normally acquired through the successful completion of a four-year university education or having the equivalent level of education and experience A period of 6-8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience Knowledge of business methods, processes, procedure development, organizational structure, and change management Proficiency in English, orally and written form, for preparing reviews, presentations, correspondence, process descriptions, procedures, guides, and reports Experience in planning, organization, and change management for business improvement initiatives Familiarity with business process improvement policies, principles, methods, procedures, standards, measures, and communication systems Experience with systems supporting business, including internet web site development. Understanding of departmental interrelationships, responsibilities, contacts, and sources of information Experience with SAP applications in a commercial environment, including related business processes, reconfiguration, and programming Are you ready for a change?
