Job Description
Reporting directly to the Director of Field Operations and working closely with our Project Management teams, the Superintendent plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of construction sites. This position is ultimately responsible for ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in ground-up commercial construction and will demonstrate strong leadership and coordination abilities to drive project success on-site.
Requirements
DESIRED BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role, with a strong focus on commercial or multifamily residential construction projects from inception to completion
Solid computer skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to various digital tools and platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a clear ability to document, report, and collaborate across teams
A strong understanding of construction documentation and the ability to accurately read and interpret drawings, plans, and contractual requirements
A proactive approach to learning and adopting new construction technologies and systems
Willingness and flexibility to travel out of town for projects as needed is considered an asset
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Take full ownership of the construction site, including daily operations, workforce coordination, site safety, and progress tracking
Provide effective leadership to field staff, subcontractors, and other site personnel, ensuring a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
Oversee the implementation and use of construction technology platforms such as Procore and Holobuilder for project tracking and documentation
Monitor project schedules closely, working to ensure that critical milestones and completion dates are achieved or exceeded
Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to align expectations and resolve issues proactively
Be prepared to take a hands-on approach when needed to support field execution and maintain momentum
