What You’ll Do
As a Superbuilder, you’ll be one of the earliest engineers shaping how AI agents are built, deployed, and integrated across teams and products in Base. Your work will directly impact how developers write software and how entire product teams collaborate with agents.
Build AI-first tools that massively boost developer productivity
Create autonomous agents that integrate with real-world tools (GitHub, Slack, Linear, Figma, etc.)
Design agents that become full-fledged team members — contributing to codebases, responding in threads, even running retros and handling follow-ups
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deploy agents into our internal workflows
Package these agents into SDKs, APIs, or frontends for broader adoption in external products
Prototype quickly, ship fast, and obsess over real-world performance, latency, and UX
You Might Be a Fit If You...
Have strong engineering instincts and love building full-stack systems end-to-end
Are deeply obsessed about the intersection of AI, agents, and productivity
Have deep experience building LLM-powered tools (LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, Agents, etc.)
Have shipped agentic workflows before and deeply understand how agents function in production
Prioritize pragmatic solutions and outcomes above technicalities and artificial barriers
Thrive in fast-paced environments with high agency and autonomy, and are unafraid to break through walls.
Experience integrating AI into dev tooling and collaboration tools with rapid feedback cycles
Nice to Haves
Previous startup or zero-to-one product experience
Contributions to open-source AI or agent frameworks
Deep understanding of reasoning, planning, and long-term memory in agent systems

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
Pay Range:
$218,025—$256,600 USD
