Who we need
Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for driving process improvements and delivering impactful financial insights? Join our dynamic team as the Manager, Finance, where you will play a critical role in managing financial reporting activities and partnering with both internal and external stakeholders. In this key position, you will help ensure our company meets all financial reporting, regulatory, and tax compliance deadlines while continuously improving our processes.
What you will do
Coordinate and Communicate IFRS 17 Results: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially the actuarial department, to analyze and report on IFRS 17 results, ensuring alignment across the organization.
Financial Data Management: Oversee the accuracy and completeness of data within the Risk Integrity Subledger and SAP ledger. This includes managing business reporting hierarchy structures, COA mapping, and posting rules.
Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile the Risk Integrity subledger with the General Ledger (SAP) and related reports, ensuring consistency and reliability in reporting.
System Enhancements & Testing: Support regression testing during system upgrades and work with teams like Data Foundation and IMT to implement required changes. Draft business requirements for system improvements.
Board Deliverables & Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of board deliverables and IFRS 17 financial statements.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and enhance internal control processes related to financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements.
Reinsurance Activities: Manage and review reinsurance settlements, while supporting the implementation of the Reinsurance TAI system for accurate accounting of ceded reinsurance activities.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead a high-performing team by setting clear performance objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching and training in IFRS 17 processes.
Collaboration in Transformation Projects: Participate in AFM Transformation projects, contributing to testing, implementation, and overall project success.
What you will bring
Professional Accounting designation (CPA).
5+ years of budgeting, financial close, financial control, and expense reporting experience, preferable within the insurance industry.
University degree in accounting or finance field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
Advanced skills in financial reporting systems, including SAP and MS Excel.
Clear Communicator. Confident in expressing ideas clearly to both team members and management.
