Position: Head Baker Reports to: Culinary Manager
As an Head Baker you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Sprouted Oven whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.

Follow all food safety protocols.
Formulate new and existing products to meet objectives
Coordinate and supervise production batch testing

Detailed Description of Duties:
Ensure that baked goods are produced in a detailed and timely manner each day
Formulate new and existing products to meet sensory, quality, cost and manufacturability
Provide support to the production team to identify and address quality and process issues
Maintain detailed, comprehensive records of formulations, process parameters, finished product results, sensory results and project time
Identify and evaluate opportunities for formula / process improvement and cost reduction
Assist with coordinating and supervising all aspects of bakery production baking
Use the different baking equipment for baked goods
Read and follow recipes accurately
Follow all food safety protocols and ensure work area is clean and maintained at a high level of professionalism
Provide support and direction to the bakery team
Communicate with the Lead Bakers regarding tasks, duties, or issues that arise
Fully proficient in English
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
