A Day in the Life: Utilize the HRIS system to manage information, maintain organizational charts, process onboarding HR forms with benefits and payroll, make profile changes, approve offer letters, process terminations, enter Identification information, employee documents, retrieve and review HR reports Liaise with the HR Service Centre to ensure the highest standard of customer service for employees is met and update HR policies and position profiles as required Conduct onboarding for new employees and manage new employee orientation Support the Nissan Canada Intern Program, working with hiring managers to post, source and identify potential interns. This involves identifying the universities which support the best talent for our business and engage brand awareness; maintaining relationship with the university; adhering to the school intern criteria process; on boarding and off boarding interns Provide general administrative support to the HR Department by ensuring highly confidential and time sensitive matters are appropriately executed Maintain central filing system and assist in ad-hoc projects as required Who We’re Looking for: The following qualification factors reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant. Knowledge: The ideal incumbent is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate Business University Program in Human Resources. Working towards also obtaining their CHRP designation is an asset. Equivalent HR experience will also be considered. Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills. Strong working knowledge of MS office. Knowledge of Workday is an asset. Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills are core to this position. Ability to present confidential, potentially contentious and complex information with diplomacy. Excellent negotiation, writing and listening skills. Able to work collaboratively within small HR team, managers and employees. Complexity and Problem-Solving: Experience specific to areas of job analysis and/or job specification and administration. Able to self-direct and move project forward with limited supervisory oversight. Decision-making/Impact of the Position: Strong decision-making and analytical skills. Decisions have a significant impact outside of the department, but within NCI. People Management: Ability to provide ongoing relationship and project management. Working Conditions: Frequent exposure to multiple and/or conflicting deadlines. Potential limited daily supervision after initial roll out. Ability to work from home and in office (Mississauga, Ontario), as required. Eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate Business University Program in Human Resources, or a similar relevant program.
