Key Responsibilities: Maintain situational awareness Extinguish residual fire, including but not limited to breaking apart smoldering debris, extinguishing embers, or small flames, and moving burned debris so it. Moving burned debris so it cannot reignite. Operate trucks and ATVs. Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright and Wright Canada Holdings culture of safety and employee ownership. Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures. Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings. Organization of equipment before, during and after shifts will be required. Other duties as required. Experience and Knowledge Expectations: Must have completed: S100 Basic Fire Suppression and Safety (or equivalent) S185 Fire Entrapment Avoidance. Five (5) certifiable days (12 hours per day) actively involved in firefighting preferred Able to complete the Annual Physical Fitness Test—Moderate Standard. Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s License and a current Driver’s Abstract. Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and work, including exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow. Work well alone and with others. Possesses the ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Must be able to write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
