Reporting to the Food Store Manager / Assistant Food Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
Assist in the development of employee schedules, and assign work task for each shift.
Ensure orders are received properly, piece counts are conducted, and claims are processed
Ensure proper merchandising and housekeeping standards within the grocery department including adequate display, stock, and rotation of products.
Assist in the management of inventory including ordering, receiving and record management of all products within the grocery department.
Assist with training the grocery team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.
Maintaining a safe environment for all employees, customers, and vendors. Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
Responsible for the security of property, equipment at the store and maintain a constant alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise from the store and to report the discrepancies to the Food Store Manager or designate.

Qualifications
Must possess a minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education.
Must possess a minimum of 3 years’ related experience in a food store, with at least one of those years in a functional supervisory role.
Must be strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Must have ability and experience in leading, training and supervising others.
Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
