They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals. In deal valuation at PwC, you will focus on providing analysis and valuation services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions. You will help clients make informed decisions by assessing the worth and potential risks of various deals. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience and deep knowledge of complex financial instruments combined with a keen understanding of capital markets and business acumen.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Deals Private Valuations & Complex Securities Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide valuation of complex securities such as private credits, venture capitals, management equity plans, structure products, debentures with embedded derivatives, exotic options, commodity contracts, etc.
Lead Valuations teams, coaching and supporting team development and sharing technical knowledge across the national and global PwC network.
Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge.
Contribute to pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client requirements.
Lead business development efforts to grow and expand the practice.
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Completed Master of Mathematical Finance (or equivalent) and a strong academic background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant postgraduate degrees).
Successful completion of CFA, FRM, or PRM designation is an asset.
Experience in valuations, leveraged finance, banking, risk management.
Have an in-depth understanding of mathematical models used for pricing complex securities, deep knowledge of private investments and capital markets.
Strong commitment to identifying and addressing client needs and building, maintaining, and utilizing client networks and community involvement.
Proactive, takes ownership of tasks and assignments, accepts responsibility for outcomes.
Experienced at preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising diverse teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
Experiences in common programming languages (e.g. Python/R/Visual Basic/SQL) will be an asset.
