We are seeking a leader that is excited by this vision/mission and ready to lead an Operations teams to become enthusiastic, engaging hosts while creating unique and memorable experiences. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is a senior leadership role at the Golden Skybridge.
This role is responsible for the health and safety of both Guests and Staff while operating and maintaining the experiences (suspensions bridges, zipline, canyon swing, challenge courses, tree-park, trails, plaza, etc…), managing an Operations team, growing and developing the attraction, landscaping, building and ground and overall site cleanliness and organization. Success will be measured on ability to manage team, providing world class experiences to our Guests in a safe manner, driving both Staff and Guest scores, training, development of products and continued growth and development.

Pursuit offers a full suite of benefits, including flexible time off, an RRSP contribution matching plan, and discounts at our hotels, restaurants, and attractions. The range for this role is between $80,000 - $90,000

What will you do in this job?
Define what unique and memorable experiences look like for each reporting department. Articulate this vision and lead teams so they are compelled to become enthusiastic and engaging hosts. Create and deliver on SMART rolling action plans to achieve this vision. Work towards achieving these goals each and every day
Oversee Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”) and policies and ensure they are updated, implemented, and documented. Think objectively about SOPs and offer suggestions for optimization, which are always welcome
Proactively lead these advancements in reporting departments while contribute to the greater experience
Take ownership of cleanliness, guest experience, and department maintenance
Seek solutions, plan ahead and keep organized to deliver
Live and lead Pursuit core values of Safety First, Bring Your Best, Anticipate and Honour Place
Advance the operations experience, with special focusing on Anticipating guest needs in a safe manner to ensure the team delivers a world class experience
Lead the planning and execution of capital and operational projects from initiation to completion ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
Actively participate in the long-term planning of the park
Seek and deliver upon opportunities to surprise and delight
Hire and train supervisors and greater team
Take part in performance management, mentorship and development of direct reports. Create a safe environment that encourages curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Oversee the following reporting; daily maintenance logs, weekly operations report, purchase orders and maintenance records and documents
Ensure that all Pursuit policies & procedures are followed
Maintain positive working relationships with tour companies, suppliers and other departments
Monitor quality of equipment and PPE on site, ensure all precautions are taken
Lead training for suspension bridges, zipline, canyon swing, challenge courses and all additional experiences within the park
Manage the monthly P&L and forecasting and ensuring accuracy to plan
Create budgets and forecast on a monthly basis to ensure goals are achieved
Health and Safety champion for the attraction, implementing all emergency and safety protocols for all areas to ensure the safety of our guests and teams
Identify current/prospective staffing requirements, maintain and update manuals and yearly job descriptions
Time management, payroll reports and daily KPI’s
