CAE is the prime contractor responsible for the NATO Flying Training in Canada’s (NFTC) program as well as the Future Air Crew Training (FACT) program, in Moose Jaw, SK, that produces qualified military pilots for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and other global defence customers. At CAE, Aircraft Technical Records Specialist assist with the accuracy, currency, completeness, and availability of NFTC's airworthiness technical data and records. Join CAE in Moose Jaw, SK The role we are offering you: Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) Administration Conduct regular quality checks of operational data to highlight and correct system and user issues/errors Coordinate Help Desk workflow. Utilize various ticketing systems to aid in rectifying ERKS program issues. Carry out error reporting. Conduct and/or oversee training activities for new users as well as recurrent training for existing users Baseline Management Functions Design, test and implement tasks in the ERKS Baseline Revise existing task definitions as directed by Engineering or Maintenance Scheduling changes Manage A/C configuration and changes to Baseline assembly structure Audit Maintenance Plan Task Definitions for compliance Support validation and verification testing of application upgrades Support development of dashboards and reports to provide insight and guidance for planning, data analysis, and business decisions Other Program Functions: Maintain all aspects of scheduled maintenance tasks, including managing serial numbers, tracking task history (ROCL, TRI, MSI, CLR), updating inventory and components. Audit deadline dates to all applicable tasks within the system. Perform audits of incoming new components from Logistics ensuring maintenance cycle is properly implemented. Manage A/C inventory upon changes to Baseline assembly structure. Validate inventory records (current usages and task deadlines). Update usage records and affected sub inventory. Produce reports from system data, for use in planning, data analysis, and technical investigations Co-ordinate and manage A/C Impound procedures. Our ideal candidate has: AME license (or equivalent) or Bachelor of Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or college diploma in field relating to aviation 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a maintenance control position managing aircraft records Knowledge of regulations governing aircraft technical records. Experience working within the DND Airworthiness Program is an asset Experience working with electronic records systems Able to work under pressure to meet assigned work deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well within a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program and ITAR compliance As a condition of employment, candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
