Job Description: What you’ll be doing: With the launch of the Love, Scarborough campaign, our organization has experienced tremendous growth. As a result, SHN Foundation is recruiting for an Officer, Multichannel Campaigns. The Annual Programs portfolio currently consists of gifts under $25,000, and is the primary acquisition funnel for donors to SHN. Reporting to the Manager, Annual Programs, this role will support the activities of the direct response, monthly donors, memorial and tribute, and honour your caregiver (With Gratitude) programs. This position will help execute multichannel fundraising and donor marketing plans and would preferably come with some experience with direct mail/print execution, as well as strong digital marketing skills that will help expand our digital fundraising activities in the future, specifically in acquiring and retaining donors through digital engagement. The candidate will need strong project management, story-telling, copywriting and editing skills. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is willing to take on a variety of tasks. As the program grows, there will be opportunities to support a more diverse set of channels and content development. The ideal candidate is one that can adapt to the fit the needs of the program as it evolves. Your responsibilities: Project manage and support the execution and strategic development of direct response appeals, campaigns, and the promotion of evergreen Annual Program products, in collaboration with the Manager, Annual Programs and VP, Philanthropy. Channels include direct mail, email, paid digital, SMS, and others. Coordinate timelines and manage relationships with external vendors and internal support teams to ensure deadlines are met and delivered in accordance with briefings. Support the storytelling and development of creative materials for the direct response program, including assisting with creative briefing and, when required, the development and editing of written copy under the supervision of the Manager. Manage tasks related to the production, execution, approval process, and segmentation of direct mail, email, SMS, and paid digital conversion campaigns, as well as other products when required. Assist in executing content and audience segmentation strategies developed by the VP, Philanthropy and Manager, Annual Programs, and contribute to building a strong content pipeline. Support the identification of and expansion into of new direct marketing channels and assist in the implementation of strategies to acquire new donors. Pull post-campaign and on-demand reports; provide performance insights and key performance indicator (KPI) analysis. In conjunction with the Manager, Annual Programs, establish process, best practices, and infrastructure standards for the Annual Program. This includes processes related to both the production of print materials and evergreen programs, as well as related to the team’s digital systems. Support cross-functional teams in maintaining and optimizing digital platforms used by the Annual Program to ensure high functionality, strong donor experience, and effective conversion. Contribute to evaluating the digital performance of Annual Program initiatives, ensuring alignment with digital best practices. Ensure that donor issues and inquiries are handled in a timely manner and are escalated as required. Maintain administrative documents, including budget and invoice documents Other tasks, as required. What you bring to the position: Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years working in a fundraising role, with experience in multichannel marketing. Experience in digital conversion is required. Experience project managing marketing and/or fundraising campaigns. Experience producing communications and storytelling narratives related to fundraising. Advanced computer skills with a working knowledge of online donation platforms (Fundraise Up, AKA raisin, etc.), web-based content management systems, email platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, file management and transfer systems. Experience with digital advertising platforms an asset. Experience developing, deploying, and tracking email campaigns Experience with google analytics, paid digital advertisement, and search marketing best practices. Experience managing print vendors and production of print materials is an asset Strong experience in interpreting KPIs and business analytics for fundraising and digital performance. Knowledge of and proficiency in Raiser’s Edge is an asset. Healthcare philanthropy experience considered an asset. Your competencies include: Proven ability to think strategically and work independently in driving new initiatives or enhancing existing programs. Excellent verbal communication skills and proven writing and editing skills to create marketing/fundraising copy for multiple mediums. Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities also required. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
