• Source System Analysis - Identifying data sources, assessing data quality, and determining the best approach for data integration.
• Data Warehouse Design - Designing the physical and logical data models (including star schema) within the data warehouse, ensuring data consistency and efficient data retrieval.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) - Designing and implementing the process of extracting data from source systems, transforming it to fit the data warehouse schema, and loading it into the data warehouse.
• Repository Development - Building and configuring the OBIEE repository, which defines the metadata for the BI solution, including data mappings, security, and caching mechanisms.
• Dashboards and Reports - Developing interactive dashboards, reports, and other visualizations using tools like OBIEE Answers and BI Publisher.
• Security Configuration - Implementing user authentication, authorization, and data access controls within OBIEE.
• Performance Tuning - Optimizing OBIEE's performance by using techniques like caching, aggregations, and efficient SQL queries.
• Testing and QA - Thoroughly testing the BI solution to ensure it meets requirements, functions correctly, and performs as expected.
