Responsibilities:
System Setup and Configuration: Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment. Install software applications and ensure systems are fully operational for end-users.
User Support: Provide direct support to users for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting problems, guiding users through corrective steps, or escalating issues as necessary.
Maintenance and Updates: Perform regular maintenance tasks, system updates, and security checks to ensure all equipment is running efficiently and securely.
Support-Related Activities: Carry out a range of activities that support the IT department's objectives, such as inventory management, documentation, and participating in IT projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to plan and execute system deployments, share knowledge on troubleshooting techniques, and improve support processes.
Training: Assist in training employees on the use of new software or hardware, promoting best practices in cybersecurity and efficient use of IT resources.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in an IT support role with a focus on user support and system setup.
Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
