Provides security management advice and oversight to a single operational site or a limited portfolio of operational sites. Acts as the relationship manager between business leadership and the Corporate Security function. May be a developmental role providing specialist security support to the enterprise within a limited competency area or technical area. May supervise a small team of staff or contracted security personnel. Minimum Requirements: 10+ years in a security role or 7+ years in a law enforcement role with additional relevant security experience Demonstrated skill in one or more Corporate Security competencies (e.g. investigations, systems design, risk assessments etc.). High school diploma together with some evidence of continuing education and development. Capable of managing multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with senior business leadership. Good written and oral communication skills. Responsibilities: Conduct security risk assessments for facilities, operations, personnel, and systems. Develop and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans for identified threats. Provide strategic advice on security measures to reduce organizational risk exposure. Monitor and report on evolving threat landscapes to senior leadership. Ensure alignment with applicable legislation, standards, and best practices (e.g., CSA Z246.1:21, AR 230/2012, AR 84/2024, AR 52/2010). Support audit processes and regulatory inspections, and lead remediation efforts for compliance gaps. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant compliance requirements and proactively advise stakeholders. Develop and enforce security requirements and guidelines. Lead or support investigations into security breaches, policy violations, and other incidents. Prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend corrective actions. Location and other Key Details: You will work out of a Fort McMurray location supporting upstream assets. Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs. Why Suncor?
