Overview:
Reporting to the Sports and Attractions Programs Manager, the Programs Assistant, Gaming Garage role will be to assist the Sports and Attractions Programs team with contracts, coordinating showcases, summer staffing, and overseeing the Gaming Garage during the fair.

Responsibilities
Providing support for all Gaming Garage programs including but not limited to video game and card game tournaments, community showcases, and stage programming.
Assisting in the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of 18-day fair staff
Acting as a liaison between the CNE and sponsors, vendors, or other third parties
Purchasing and reconciling equipment
Acting as an on-site point of contact during move-in and move-out
Contributing to all aspects of the programming and work collaboratively with all departments
Performing other duties as assigned
Special Conditions
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs

Qualifications & Educational Requirements
A valid G2 driver’s license is required
Full availability during CNE event required
Flexibility to work days or evenings during the event, as required
Education and/or experience in a field related to event management would be considered an asset
Education and/or experience in a field related to administration would be considered an asset
Experience with other Gaming-related events is highly preferred
Proven organization and time management skills with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other technology
Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multi-task
