Salary: Level 2 Step 1 ($28.13 hourly)

Under the supervision of the department requiring driver services, the Driver is responsible for a variety of duties, specific to the individual requirements as defined by the hiring department. This position requires the incumbent to maintain and complete reports for the supervisor including vehicle maintenance logs and other reports / documents as required by TH Assets. Additional responsibilities included in this position are: provide cordial client services and provide assistance as needed, pick-ups / deliveries of people and items, keeping vehicle clean / tidy, and other related duties as identified by the supervisor.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
Experience driving various vehicles and ensuring maintenance is kept up to date.
Experience dealing tactfully and respectfully with the public.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow direction and established procedures.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Conditions of Employment:
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Class 5 Driver’s License with a clear driver’s abstract.
TH101 cultural awareness training or willingness to obtain.
