Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? As a member of the Capital Markets Operational Risk, Controls and Governance (ORC&G) team, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of operational risk reporting and presentations to support the oversight of operational risk controls and governance program initiatives within Capital Markets, ensure consistent application of the Operational Risk Management Framework and associated policies in the business, and support a culture of risk ownership, awareness and issue management in the business and functions. The team strives to continuously improve reporting efficiency and effectiveness. What will you do? Prepare monthly Capital Markets operational risk reports and trend analysis with information from risk assessments, operational risk event data, audits & regulatory views, KRIs, external events, and other conduct risk metrics to communicate key themes, trends, and emerging issues to support the governance of operational risk and controls activities. Lead the Capital Markets annual risk appetite measures and/or key risk indicators refresh process for Capital Markets, to ensure reporting and thresholds are in alignment with the GRM Enterprise Standards and Framework requirements. Support management of smaller scale CM Non-Financial Risk initiatives, including planning, socialization, implementation and maintenance. Support CM COO’s Administration, Controls and Governance (ACG) Committee in the governance and administration activities; accountable for ad hoc regulatory reviews and submissions related to operational risk reporting as required. Work collaboratively with GRM Enterprise Operational Risk (GRM OR) and CM business leads on reporting, risk indicators within the platform and key lines of business, ORMS Archer Management and other operational risk related subjects. Document and communicate business/technical requirements for reporting maintenance and implement report or process enhancements. What you need to succeed? A minimum 7 years of related experience with in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, and/or risk reporting. Working experience with MS Office, Tableau, SQL and/or large data sets. Strong presentation, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills Good knowledge of operational risk management industry best practices for Capital Markets products Previous FO, functions and/or Audit or Risk Management experience is an asset Ability to work independently and without immediate supervision Commitment to quality and accuracy with a high level of attention to detail. Strong problem solving, analytical, research and quantitative skills. Team player and ability to perform under time constraints. Prior work experience or knowledge of Alteryx or Python is an asset What’s in it for you?
