What you will do You will be instrumental in designing 3D models that will be used for construction packages, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes. You will produce detailed drawings and specifications that guide the production team in creating high-quality products. Working closely with engineers and production staff, you'll contribute to optimizing processes for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness, enhancing overall product quality. How you will do it Create detailed designs for manufacturing air handling units and computer room solutions, ensuring compliance with production requirements and industry standards. Generate precise technical drawings and specifications for tooling using Inventor/Creo software. Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and stakeholders to identify design needs and gather feedback on functionality. Assist in the prototyping process by working with manufacturing teams to test and refine assemblies before full-scale production. Review existing designs for efficiency and effectiveness, suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, revisions, and specifications to ensure traceability and adherence to JCI standards. Create or update bills of materials (BOM) to accurately represent necessary components and materials. Assist team members and perform peer reviews for internal design packages. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by assessing tooling performance and recommending innovative design enhancements. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting timeline requirements while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
