Homestead Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Asset Protection and Health and Safety Coordinator at Homestead Co-op with locations in Austin, Carman, La Salle, MacGregor, Oakville, Portage and Treherne. This position will be based out of Portage la Prairie or Carman, MB.

What you will do:
Reporting to the Asset Protection and Health & Safety Senior Advisor, the Asset Protection and Health & Safety Coordinator will be responsible for providing advice and support to Homestead on Asset Protection and H&S activities, including assisting in implementation and maintenance of programs and procedures. Analyzing, reporting, incident investigations, hazard identifications, policies, procedures, and manuals as it relates to Asset Protection and H&S. Ensure compliance with applicable legislation is maintained. Monitoring surveillance systems, investigating incidents, maintaining security equipment, communicating with 3rd party security and RCMP resources to effectively support the Asset Protection Program. Be familiar with and assist with the administration of WCB claims and support the creation of return to work program. Maintain records for Asset Protection and H&S incidents. Must have a valid driver’s license to travel between Homestead Co-op locations as needed.

- You have 1 to 3 years of previous progressive and successful experience in Asset Protection and/or Risk Management preferably in the retail industry.
- You have previous experience in investigations and a knowledge of security infrastructure (CCTV and intrusions systems.)
- Grade 12 required with a preference for a designation in Loss Prevention (CPP, CFI, CFE, LPQ, or LPC) and/or commerce or Business Degree or related experience. - The following designations would also be an asset (CRSP, CHSC, CSO or Workplace Investigative Interviewing).
- You are honest and trustworthy, are results-orientated and strive to be the best in what you do.
