Your care and professionalism as a Registered Massage Therapist shows our guests that they are unique and valued – and you will take pride in knowing that your competencies help them feel their very best.Starting Rate: $26.20We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.20.Compensation can reflect $70+ per hour while massage services are being performed. Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Spa Treatment Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Provide professional, engaging, and friendly service, ensuring each guest receives a personalized and memorable experience.Perform 30, 45, 60, 90, and 120-minute massage and body treatments, in accordance with current certifications and training.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment area, ensuring equipment is in proper working order and supplies (e.g., oils, towels, linens) are well-stocked.Stay current with all required certifications, including professional licenses, CPR, and First Aid, and actively participate in ongoing training and development.Educate guests on recommended homecare and retail products, and support spa operations by assisting with additional tasks as required.QualificationsYour Skills & Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited 2200-hour massage programRegistered within province of Alberta prior to beginning employmentPrevious experience in a Spa preferredAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesConstant standing/walking throughout shift and must be able to lift and carry 20+ lbsPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Lifting -Under 20lbs 10% of work time.Pushing -35lbs pressure through wrists 80% of work time.Motions -Bending, standing, reaching, and working with hands, arms, and fingers continuously throughout workday.Work Environment -Indoors, with very limited exposure to sunlight.
