As an approved Medavie Blue Cross provider under the Veterans Independence Program, we deliver high-quality care in the comfort of our client's homes. We're looking for caring and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our growing team on a flexible, casual basis.
Position Overview:
We are seeking Casual PSWs who are available to pick up occasional 12-hour home care shifts (day or overnight). This is a great opportunity for individuals who prefer flexibility in their schedule or are looking to supplement their income.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and assistance to clients, ensuring comfort and dignity.
Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Support clients with mobility, transfers, and light housekeeping tasks.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and well-being.
Build strong relationships with clients and their families.
Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized PSW program or equivalent certification.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Experience in home care, long-term care, or hospital settings (preferred).
Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within last 6 months)
Proof of immunizations (including TB and COVID-19 vaccinations)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
