Job Type: Permanent Department: Hourly Wage: $31.01 Close Date (closes at 12:00 am on date noted below): June 21, 2025 Openings: 1 Position Summary Reporting to the Coordinator, Recreation, this part-time position is responsible for the design of personalized fitness programs based on the client’s individual health and fitness goals Major Job Responsibilities Design personalized fitness programs based on individual or groups needs and goals Ensure fitness programs follow fitness industry standards Provide a safe and well-supervised learning environment Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for participants to actively participate and excel Set-up and take down required equipment Maintain a safe, clean facility; including proper usage and storage of equipment Report any accidents, incidents, concerns or site damage to the Supervisor, Recreation Submit all required forms ensuring accuracy and completeness of information to immediate supervisor Establish positive relationships, clear communication channels and work cooperatively with all staff and participants Provide excellent customer service Attend and participate in mandatory staff functions: training, meetings and allocated program times Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act Perform all other duties as assigned in accordance with department objectives Education & Experience Secondary School Diploma 3 years of experience in a related environment Post-Secondary Education in Recreation and Leisure Education or related field is preferred Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in fitness and working with persons with disabilities is an asset Current CSEP-CPT or Certified Personal Trainer (Canfit Pro or equivalent) Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level “C” Interested applicants should apply online at www.milton.ca under the Employment Opportunities section.
