Job Description The Compliance Officer supports the Vice President, Compliance in executing the enterprise compliance program by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role advises stakeholders, maintains the company’s policy framework, leads compliance training and investigations, and supports regulatory audits and exams. The Compliance Officer plays a key role in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, fostering a culture of ethical conduct, and maintaining effective communication across internal and external partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support the Vice President, Compliance in executing the enterprise compliance program and maintaining awareness of applicable regulatory requirements. Communicate with stakeholders and employees regarding key regulatory initiatives, compliance issues, and policy or regulatory changes. Advise stakeholders on compliance matters, including the interpretation and application of laws, regulations, and standards. Maintain and manage the policy framework, including development, implementation, and ongoing updates to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Prepare and administer company-wide compliance training and employee certifications; develop additional training based on identified compliance gaps. Support the design and execution of corrective action plans to address deficiencies, findings, and self-identified issues. Identify and assess compliance risks, recommend appropriate controls, and lead investigations into violations or breaches, including evidence gathering and documentation. Track and manage regulatory compliance events, issues, and filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions and reporting. Provide support during regulatory exams, risk assessments, internal reviews, and third-party inquiries. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support ongoing compliance efforts. Foster a culture of ethical conduct, integrity, and accountability across the organization. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, internal controls, and company policies and procedures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sound judgment skills with the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently interact with employees at all levels. High ethical standards with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum 2 years of job-related work experience in compliance and/or risk management.
