Students will critically analyse the negotiation of fundamental freedoms in complex contexts with multiple actors, with a focus on how these freedoms interact with other rights and interests. The course uses a critical, interdisciplinary and multimedia approach that situates the human and digital spaces where dissent and advocacy occur, including the rules that apply in times of public emergency, the reconciliation of liberty interests and public security/security of the person, and the evolution of dissent rights in protests on university campuses in recent years. TQR: At a minimum, a first degree in law. Several years of significant practice or professional experience, in the relevant area; Experience in teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual setting.
