Job Title Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Accountant to join our finance team in Canada. This role plays a key part in managing plant-level financial activities, ensuring accurate accounting, and supporting operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing environment and a working knowledge of Canadian and U.S. GAAP. Education: Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Accounting Currently working towards CPA accounting designation Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a cost accounting or plant accounting role Proficient in various accounting functions: cash management, inventory control, intercompany reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (preference for Macola and/or Visual Manufacturing) Solid understanding of Canadian GAAP; exposure to U.S. GAAP is an asset Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Position Specific Title and Responsibilities: Perform daily cash reconciliations and reporting Prepare weekly cash forecasts Process daily customer invoicing and credit notes Apply customer payments and manage AR collections Calculate bad debt provisions and generate customer statements Analyze plant costs and revenues to support financial decision-making Execute AP cheque runs and process online bill payments Manage intercompany payments and account reconciliations Prepare required regulatory and financial reports Position Specific Physical Requirements: Hybrid work environment Target Hiring Range Annual Salary: CAD 61,000.00 - CAD 85,000.00 Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
