ABOUT THE ROLE
Bethany is currently accepting applications for a candidate to join us in a paid, 8-week summer position in Maintenance. The successful candidate will earn a salary of $18.00/hour and work 35 hours per week. This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, candidates must be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the time of hire.
You will report to the Maintenance in charge on site and be responsible for a range of duties that will help you to understand Facilities Maintenance, in-house and third party contracting, trade and non-trade work. Some of these duties will include:
General Maintenance of Facility
Exposure to Boiler Operations, logging information.
Reviewing building automations systems
Prepping and painting
Changing lights and lamps
Maintenance checks on HVAC Units, filters and drive belts
General yard and landscaping work
Simple plumbing issues
Troubleshooting
Administrative and paperwork completion
Resident room maintenance checks

WHAT YOU BRING
You are between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
