About the Role
The Director of Policy and Strategy leads a team of policy experts working on a range of initiatives through policy research, analysis, writing, stakeholder engagement, and communications. This position directs timely strategy that effectively maximizes developments in the climate and clean energy space, while overseeing the research, government relations, and outreach activities of the team.
The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and problem solver. With excellent planning and prioritization skills, they will be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. A creative and innovative team player, the incumbent will excel in making informed decisions, achieving results and creating positive change. The incumbent will be a strong communicator (both written and oral), capable of building and maintaining effective relationships, collaborations and partnerships.

Qualifications
Master's degree in political science, law, resource management, or a related discipline with 10 years of related experience in policy development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement within the climate, clean energy, or sustainability sectors, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of climate and clean energy fields and Canadian decarbonization pathways
Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory and policy landscape, at provincial and/or federal levels. This will ideally encompass knowledge and expertise related to clean energy policy, clean transportation policy, and measures that advance the development of a clean economy
Capable of managing a team of high-level professionals
