Job Description: The incumbent provides Mental Health Intake Services to Mental Health and Addiction clinics throughout the area, and provides some specific short term counselling/therapeutic services to individuals/families. Services are delivered through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education. The incumbent oversees smooth delivery of Intake Services and the delivery of referrals for services internally to the appropriate program/staff. The incumbent provides assistance to clients in the form of suggestions, guidance and/or direction to help clients to obtain services external to Mental Health and Addiction Services. May be assigned other related duties as required. The incumbent reports to the Supervisor of Adult Community Services or their designate and works as part of an interdisciplinary team. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
