Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Business Development Specialist on a permanent basis on our Growth and Business Development team. This position is a remote opportunity and is based across Western Canada.

What you’ll do:
Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities that support the CRS growth strategy by leading acquisition files with low risk and complexity through the acquisition process.
Develop financial and valuation models and ensure tools and databases are maintained with key insights and conduct analysis and identify risks related to acquisition opportunities,
Lead and conduct research analysis and provide input into the assessment and improvement of investment decisions by identifying key trends, issues and gaps.
Assist with or lead potential commercialization opportunities, complete feasibility studies, and provide recommendations while building industry relationships.

You will work closely with the Specialists and Analysts and will report into the Business Development Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of strong team relationships, collaboration and accountability.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Finance and:
Have 6 to 9 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in business development and financial analysis.
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a preference for a major in Finance (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
Have exposure to project management would be considered an asset.
Have a financial designation (CPA, CFA) would be considered an asset.
