Part-Time Temporary Contract- Older Adult Program and Event Support
Reporting to the Manager of Recreation Programs and Special Events, or their designate, the Part-Time temporary Contract- Older Adult Program and Event Support will assist with the implementation of Town-led programs and events.
Some of the job responsibilities of the position include:
Plan and implement programs and events with a focus on intergenerational programs.
Ensures that equipment and supplies are set up, operational, and put away after use for each program Provides administrative support for programs and events.
Work with community collaborators to enhance programming
Implement the evaluation plan to determine program success.
Ensure compliance with the Town and legislated policies and procedures
Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Provide suggestions on program improvements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older
Must be able to work weekends, weeknights, and PA days
Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and work independently.
Experience in working with older adults and youth
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, and attentive to customer service. Must be creative and flexible.
Valid standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification, or be willing to be trained
Fitness certification is an asset
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in both standard office settings and outdoor environments, with potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
The regular work schedule shall be ten (10) hours per week.
Work hours will vary each week, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Hourly Rate of Pay:
$20.00 per hour
