Job Summary TMX Group is seeking an experienced C++ Software Developer to join our team, with a strong background in product development and in low latency trading systems. In this role, you will be a key member of an experienced multidisciplinary agile team composed of developers, testers, Business Analysts and Architects. You will be involved in the design and in the implementation of the low-latency trading platform. You will contribute to the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) solution that is already in place. Some scripting (Python, Perl) for validation and automation process is also part of the challenge. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable real-time and low-latency application Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, the Business analyst, the team leads, and Quality Assurance team members. Understand and challenge the requirements, design, and testing cycle Conduct and participate in code review and follow the enterprise code standards Implement Comprehensive testing strategies, including unit tests, component tests and integration tests, to ensure the quality, reliability and efficiency of the trading platform Debug and troubleshoot software issues, working closely with the other team members to identify and resolve problems quickly Provide 3rd level support if needed Must haves: University degree in Information Technology or equivalent C ++ programming language (Minimum of 10 years of practical experience) Python scripting language (Minimum of 5 years of practical experience) Strong experience in designing and developing real-time business applications Strong knowledge of low-latency technologies Strong knowledge of Linux OS and command lines Strong knowledge of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) Ability to work in a flexible environment and interest in continuous process improvement Sense of organization, persistence and ability to work with established plan and deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and team player Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines Good imagination and creativity in developing solutions Good analytical and effective problem solver Nice to haves: Knowledge of Canadian and/or US Equity and Derivative Trading In the market for… Excitement - Explore emerging technology and innovation, as well as ventures and digital finance that shape the future of global markets!
