POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Areas Analyst will advance the achievement of MEDA’s strategic goals and priorities through strategic planning and alignment, knowledge development and dissemination and technical expertise in one of MEDA’s technical areas. They will provide administrative support to the SR Director, Technical Areas of Expertise and the SR Vice President of Strategy and Impact.
Current Project Responsibilities will include:
Firstly, support scale up the integration of MEDA’s Program Plus approach in program design (led by PBA) and in program implementation (led by Programs) through rapid research, analysis and technical support
Advance the achievement of MEDA’s strategic goal and priorities through the development of frameworks, knowledge products, business development assets, events and research
Provide administrative and research and analysis support to the Sr Director, Technical Areas of Expertise and the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Impact

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Supporting the Operationalization of MEDA’s Program Plus approach
Support coordination efforts with the S&I team, regional technical leads, business development unit, key strategic partners and other relevant stakeholders to enhance the Integration and operationalization of a Program Plus within MEDA’s program design and delivery
Align MEDA’s and partners’ technical tools with Program Plus model and with international best practice to ensure impact, and promote learning
Provide administrative, research and analytical support to the Senior Director, Technical Areas to support program design and implementation and the development of knowledge products
Collaborate with the Partnerships and Business Accelerator (PBA) team to oversee the development and refinement of technical resources and assets that demonstrate MEDA’s capabilities in conceptual frameworks and proposals.
Spearhead collaborative initiatives with MEDA’s Communication team to craft impactful content that effectively showcases and amplifies MEDA’s work for internal and external audiences.
Strategic Planning and Alignment
Actively contribute to internal initiatives aimed at operationalizing MEDA’s strategy including monitoring, tracking and reporting results.
Strategically leverage internal tools to streamline processes, improve data collection and reporting, and facilitate coordination between the Strategy & Impact team and other MEDA divisions
Support annual planning, quarterly reporting and updates to the organization’s strategic scorecards to track and communicate progress against strategic goals
Develop and oversee the key events calendar ensuring MEDA is attending critical conferences and participating in panels relevant to MEDA’s expertise in agri-food market systems. Develop session proposals and manage content development in collaboration with programs, communications and other teams as appropriate.
Administrative Support
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Strategy and Impact team, managing critical responsibilities such as, coordination, meeting support, minute-taking, travel arrangements, contributing to the Department’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Regularly update the Technical Areas SharePoint and other Strategy & Impact sites and dashboards to ensure that staff can easily access and analyse data
Manage MEDA’s memberships, ensuring MEDA is collaborating with critical industry members and strategically participating in membership opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, international development or similar
Experience: 4-6 years in project management, research or consulting role, preferably in an organization with a focus on international development
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical expertise in one of MEDA’s technical areas namely Inclusive Market Systems, Innovative Finance, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion or Environment and Climate Change
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced business environment.
