ChampionX has an immediate need for a Forge Operator at the Alberta Oil Tool located in Edmonton, AB. What You Will Do: Complete daily inspections of product Operate the forging machine Perform minor setup adjustments Grind rods as required Assist the crane operator to hook up loads for machine Complete associated paperwork as required Perform all daily maintenance on forge machine and forge arm Follow all rules, regulations and legislation Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines Position Details: Permanent Full-time Shift rotates every 3-4 weeks between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions) Weekends may be required dependent on business conditions Minimum Qualifications: Reliable Attention to detail Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Pre-employment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day Preferred Qualifications Knowledge in CNC programming considered an asset Understanding of Vernier and measuring equipment considered an asset About ChampionX ChampionX is a global leader in providing chemistry programs and services, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.
