The AACO is preferred to possess their Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate or working towards their Fourth Class.The Candidate will work on a 24/7/365 shift work schedule. The AACO will support all the operational, maintenance, and cleaning functions of the Plant.Main Respnsibilities:Adhere to applicable safety and environmental standards, regulations and company policiesPerform plant clean-up and preventative maintenance activitiesConduct plant rounds and equipment inspectionsOperate the following heavy equipment – Dozer, Front End Loader, Fork Lift, Skid Steer, AWP and TelehandlerOperate Plant equipment as directed by the Shift EngineerAssist Operations and Maintenance crews where requiredActively participate in preventative and corrective maintenance programsConduct inspections, analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions and take corrective action, as requiredMaintain operating logs adhering to applicable regulationsInform incoming shift personnel and other persons concerned of matters requiring attention and the operating status of plant equipmentActively participate in the plant Lock Out/Tag Out program to ensure tasks are completed safelyProvide relief for the Plant OperatorsMaintain a clean and orderly work areaDirect, coach, train, orient and work effectively with other staffParticipate in professional development, both internal and externalOther related duties, as assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Class 4 power engineering certification or working towards certification an assetEffective communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills and demonstrated supervisory skills are highly desiredPrevious experience in an industrial settingPrevious operational experiencePrevious experience work with the Trades, maintenance or in constructionMaterial handling, heavy equipment, dozer, or loader experienceExperience with Material HandlingWork Environment: Permanent position, offred on a full-time basis, with 24/7/365 shift work required. Be able to work for prolonged periods in extremes of hot and cold temperatures and inclement weather conditions. Be able to tolerate dust and other airborne particles and work around other materials such as diesel, lube oils, etc. Under certain conditions while working in the plant, may be required to wear a respirator.Required to wear safety equipment and other PPE clothing where appropriate.Requires frequent stooping, bending, climbing, reaching and carrying, use of hand tools (shovels, brooms, sledgehammers, picks) and moving heavy objects.Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and high-lifts, and in confined spaces.Salary of 34.80$/h to 35.80$/h depending on experience and licensing levelsAdditional InformationWhy join our team of researchers?
