An opportunity exists for a hydrologic/hydraulic modeler who has a passion for wastewater and stormwater collection and/or potable water distribution systems. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail oriented, team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. Our team collaborates on projects coast to coast in Canada and across North America. We are a high-performing, collaborative team that successfully delivers projects to a range of clients. As part of the Urban Water Resources Water Delivery Team, you will be an important contributor to helping our clients manage their existing collection (sanitary, stormwater, and combined) and water distribution systems. You will also be relied on for expert level guidance to our various offices across the company.
Your Key Responsibilities
Participate in a wide variety of urban water resources projects, from planning and conceptual design through detailed design, implementation, and operational support.
Prepare technical reports and design briefs.
Coordinate with senior hydrologic/hydraulic modelers and project leaders to ensure that the projects’ needs are met, and priorities are understood.
Develop surface drainage, sewer collection, and water distribution system hydrologic/hydraulic models to assess performance, investigate deficiencies and generate/evaluate feasible remedial solutions.
Assist and/or undertake field investigations in support of hydraulic model builds and conceptual/functional designs.
Communicate results/interpretations via technical reporting and presentations.
