Our challenge We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Lead with a strong background in quality assurance, test management, and extensive expertise in the QTest framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex QA programs, presenting insights to senior leadership, and ensuring quality processes align with organizational objectives. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $100k – CAD $110k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Lead and manage QA programs utilizing QTest, ensuring efficient test planning, execution, and reporting. Extract, analyze, and present reports from QTest to stakeholders, including Managing Directors and Technical Heads. Monitor test progress, quality metrics, and velocity charts to assess project health and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define QA strategies, test plans, and standards. Manage and optimize testing workflows, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Conduct regular reviews and present program updates to senior management, highlighting risks, issues, and achievements. Maintain proficiency in Jira and other related tools used for test management and integration. Be self-driven, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently. Mentor and guide QA team members, fostering best practices and continuous learning. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in QA, test management, or related fields. Proven expertise in QTest test management platform: Test case design, execution, and management. Extracting detailed reports and metrics. Monitoring velocity charts and progress dashboards. Solid understanding of Jira and integration of test management tools. Exceptional ability to present complex data to non-technical and executive stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to MDs and technical leaders. Self-motivated, proactive, with superior time management skills. Program management experience is preferred. Preferred, but not required: Certification in QA or Test Management (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE). Experience managing large-scale QA programs. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
