Is responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the organization’s network, storage, and server infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of both on-premises and cloud-based systems, while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Network Administration:
Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and WLANs.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
Ensure network security through firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular audits.
Implement and manage network segmentation, routing, and VLANs.
Systems Administration:
Manage Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
Administer applications such as Exchange, ADFS, and DFS.
Manage and support virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/HPE Essentials) and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
Maintain patch management and server performance monitoring.
Administer backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
Automate system tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Manage cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Follow best practices and established procedures for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers and storage systems.
Security, Policy, and Audit:
Work closely with the IT security team to ensure adherence to security best practices, processes, and protocols; update and enforce policies to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Perform vulnerability scanning, systems audits, and forensics.
Ensure the effectiveness of data protection and cybersecurity measures.
Performance Improvement and Monitoring:
Take proactive measures to ensure minimal downtime of IT infrastructure through continuous service improvements.
Monitor compute and storage capacity to ensure effective short and long-term operations.
Utilize available tools to monitor network performance and analyze performance statistics to enhance the compute and storage systems.
Practice asset management, including maintaining inventory.
Document processes, procedures, and configuration standards
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending technical conferences, training, and workshops.
Participate in the development and action of yearly competency performance work plan(s) and development action plan(s).
Provide leadership in the areas of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), including participate in HSE activities, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about and comply with HSE policies, procedures and legislation, assist in identifying unhealthy, unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.

University degree or diploma in computer science or other related field of study.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Includes Education):
7+ years of experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, and hybrid environments.
7+ years of hands-on experience with Windows and Linux administration, including patching, hardening and lifecycle management.
Extensive experience with core infrastructure technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, HPE, VMware, Active Directory, and Cloud.
Proven experience with hardware deployment and support (servers, storage systems, routers, switches, wireless access points, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of next-generation firewalls and other networking devices.
Strong understanding of network and server architecture, protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF), and IT security best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with SIEM solutions, monitoring and alerting tools, vulnerability assessment tools, and IT ticketing systems.
Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
A recognized advanced professional qualification and/or relevant industry certifications.
