We're seeking someone to join our ISG Trade Surveillance Technology team as a Business Analyst in Non-Financial Risk Technology to be responsible for the prevention and investigation of abusive, manipulative or illegal trading practices in the securities markets that are either customer or firm initiated by identifying patterns of trading behavior across multiple asset classes that may be an indication of market manipulation before these can compromise the firm’s reputation. Read on… What you’ll do in the role: Partner with the business to help translate or fine tune high-level business requirements into detailed functional, testable specifications (using BDD frameworks). Understand and articulate the technology vision and strategy, ensure that technology solution is successfully aligned with the business goals and priorities and enable clients with the right technology capabilities. Review and manage backlog and in-progress items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate. Work closely with Product Owners, other scrum masters, business analyst and QA to progress along squad agenda. Takes ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinate directly with other development/product teams on inter-dependencies or through scrum-of-scrum ceremony. Maintain team metrics and report project statuses (e.g., velocity/burn down charts, financial status, issues/risks, etc.) on a regular basis to Product Owner, and to senior stakeholders. Plan and conduct Agile meetings/ceremonies – e.g., daily stand up, product demos, retrospectives etc. and promote Agile culture, values, behaviors, and principles across business, development, and testing organization. What you’ll bring to the role: At least 5 years of experience in the technology area. Strong SQL and Data Analysis knowledge. Ability to proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency. Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications. Hands on experience to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path, execution, and prioritization.
