The Opportunity: Quality Assurance Supervisor The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for the day to day adherence to all QA/QC/GMP/HACCP programs through support to the production and quality team members and ensuring that the established quality systems are maintained and compliant with the Cannabis Regulations as well as other regulatory and business requirements. Responsibilities: Assist in ensuring adherence to the Company’s QA/QC program including compliance with all aspects of the Cannabis Act and GPP, GMP requirements therein. Develop new standard operating procedures (SOPs), as directed, Accountable for development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the quality assurance and control systems in compliance with the Cannabis Act. Develop, maintain and update the PCP/HACCP programs as required by regulations as an iterative process Responsible for managing, coaching and coordinating staff, creating department efficiencies and providing leadership support; Implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products; Work cross functionally to ensure staff are working in compliance with internal policies and procedures, external client expectations and GPPs/GMPs Provide training, coaching and support in all aspects of the QA/QC/Compliance program Ensure that all processing activities are always carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) resulting in consistent quality cannabis products Ensure proper documentation is accurate, complete and maintained Assist in management and investigation of deviation reports, related corrective/preventative actions, out of specification results, customer complaint process, recalls and adverse events Assist in cannabis inventory accuracy and reconciliation as required Support and/or perform internal inspections and internal audit program. Actively participates in regulatory/compliance audits such as Health Canada Inspections and customer audits as needed Implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products; Co-ordinate and assure compliance to in-house and/or external product specifications and standards. Collect samples as required Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary Assists product support areas by gathering and analyzing data Effectively communicate processes and the quality management system to all levels of the SNDL team Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of work experience in a regulated industry Preference given to those with QA/QC experience Preference given to those with Cannabis Experience Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to multitask with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently or with minimal guidance. Strong decision-making skills, and leadership.
