Your Opportunity at SECURE
The Scale Desk Administrator provides administrative support to the operations staff and facility manager. The successful candidate will quickly develop a working knowledge of the day-to-day operations and company activities while providing excellence in customer service.
Work Environment
The schedule for this position involves 12-hour day shifts with a 7 on / 7 off rotation. The role will be based at the South Grande Prairie Landfill.
A Day in The Life
Operate the weigh scale system to accurately weigh trucks in and out.
Responsible for creating, managing, and paying out scale tickets, including daily ticket entry and troubleshooting any issues.
Track and report daily landfill volumes; ensure accurate daily volume balancing.
Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service to all drivers, clients, and co-workers.
Handle landfill approvals and associated documentation.
Assist the Lead Administrator in meeting all facility month-end deadlines and sign-off.
Assist with the administration and maintenance of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Maintain a professional office appearance and ensure adequate inventory and supplies.
Filing, scanning, handling incoming/outgoing mail, updating phone and contact lists
Support with safety tracking and reporting.
Assist with template and document generation as required by Operations.
Provide support to marketers as needed.
Demonstrate ownership of group vision and culture.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Grade 12/GED
Administration or Accounting Certificate/Diploma would be considered an asset
Minimum 2 years administrative/accounting experience
Good time management and organization skills and ability to work effectively under pressure, meet demanding deadlines, & multi-task
Ability to handle multiple changing priorities
Solid ability and experience working in a team-based environment
Reliable with strong work ethic
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
