Senior Guidewire Developer – Billing Center

What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $80-85 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $90-97 per hour.
• 6-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Hybrid model – 3 days per week on-site, subject to change.
Responsibilities:
• Review software requirements efficiently.
• Build architectural diagrams and design documentation.
• Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes.
• Write, configure, package, and deploy software code.
• Establish and follow coding standards.
• Debug and unit test the code.
• Perform peer code reviews.
• Mentor junior resources.
• Collaborate in Agile development cycles using tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
• Develop and integrate Guidewire Cloud APIs, ensuring secure, scalable, and event-driven functionality.
• Implement event-driven architecture using Guidewire App Events and Pub/Sub models.
• Utilize Guidewire Cloud Tools such as TeamCity, Bitbucket, DataDog, and Guidewire Home.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Guidewire Cloud Certification is a must.
• 10+ years of experience in Guidewire Application Development.
• 7+ years of experience in Guidewire development.
• Must have experience with Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration.
• Nice to have knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration.
• Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins.
• Experience coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python (7+ years).
• 7+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs.
• 7+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL – MS SQL Server & Transact SQL proficiency preferred.
• Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.
• Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.
• Experience in Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Ability to read code in other languages and reverse engineer products.
• Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.
• In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.
